We warmly welcome as family our young, old, poor, rich, immigrants, locals, visitors, regular attenders, and members of GPC. With vibrant anticipation, we gather together to worship God with reverence and humility, availing ourselves of the whole array of arts and music, engaging all of our senses, in order to apprehend the full person of God. We understand that our connections with one another and with God are interrelated.
We creatively practice a variety of both these connections in our
service through prayer, praise, testimonies, sacraments, liturgy,
interpersonal interaction, and opportunities to commit, or recommit our
lives to Christ. The sermon illustrates a passage of scripture,
challenging us to see God more truly and to go out the doors seeking to
live our lives in a new way. Our participation in worship services
re-centers our lives on Jesus and encourages us to live boldly in faith,
making the world around us different, tastier, saltier, than it was.
This team meets monthly to do long-range creative worship planning. It is a great gathering for creative dreamers and people full of ideas. If you think you may be a good fit for this team, please contact us.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in setting the tone for worship by providing a creative space where we can gather. This group does great work, and can always use an extra hand and creative mind.
Every worship service there are several people involved in providing a welcoming and professional audio/visual experience. We can use help in two main areas, screen operators and audio assistants.
Nearly every worship service we provide a 3-5 minute time slot for particular groups of the church to update the community on what God is doing in their ministry area. Please contact us if you would like to feature your ministry.
We want to hear your stories! It is so important that we hear each other’s stories and find ways to connect to one another and to God through stories. If you or a friend would like to share a testimony with our congregation, please let us know.
From scriptures, to prayers, to responsive readings, to reader’s theater experiences, there are many opportunities for people who are comfortable on the microphone to be involved! Please let us know if you are interested.
