The ROUTE – Junior High Student Ministry
The Route is an awesome group of Jr. High students that gather together to build relationships, connect with God through studying the scriptures, singing, having fun, engaging in conversations and asking lots of questions! We meet twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Join us Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 10:15 am for a time of worship as we sing, read scripture, and engage God through conversation.
The Route meets weekly at GPC – 6:30 pm we go to the Well Room to play games, have fun and talk about God. We also meet off campus.
Welcome to Kinetic – Senior High Student Ministry
Kinetic is a group of high schoolers who share life together. During the year we have a sprawling program filled with a variety of events. Our major trips are Houseboats during the summer and our Winter Retreat during the winter. In the midst of this we fill the time with a variety of events: Dodgers games, pool parties, bowling, movies, and BBQ’s in the park.
On Sunday mornings we meet at 9 am in the Subway. We sing together, pray and gather together for small group discussion. This is a great time to get to know people on a more personal level, but also to enter into the larger community. At 10:30 we head upstairs and join with the larger community in worship
Our leadership team loves to share life with the students. We are always ready to grab lunch, coffee etc. We can talk about life, friends, parents, God or just hang out. Life can be a mixture of pleasure & pain. We understand this and want to walk along side you as you explore your own personal journey.

GPC Houseboats 2018! – Senior High Student Ministry
House Boats in an annual summer camp put on by Glendale Presbyterian Church Student Ministries. Each summer we take 60 plus students to Lake Don Pedro where they get an opportunity to completely unplug!
We unplug from technology and plug into relationships and FUN! Each day the students have several opportunities to water ski and go tubing! Don’t worry, if you have never done this before, we have a beginners boat and teacher who will teach you each step you need to take to get up on the ski! Our boat drivers are fully licensed and skilled at creating a fun and safe experience for our students.
We build in a lot of free time for students to just spend time together swimming/floating/relaxing. We also bring counselors with us who love spending time with our students. Oh, and we bring a chef, nurse, lifeguard, worship leader, guest speaker and program director with us too! It is a full crew for a full camp experience!

College and Young Adult Ministry
GPC’s College and Young Adult ministry is a group of single and married young professionals and students who are attempting to understand and follow the way of Jesus.
Together we seek to enter into honest and gracious community with one another. We bring with us our fears, hurts, questions, hopes and uncertainties. We do so hoping we will be transformed in the process and be changed into transforming agents. We are committed to one another and to seeking out God’s movements in our lives, his Church, the community of Glendale and the world.
We have numerous events every other week, ranging from: movie nights, worship nights, downtown adventures, game nights, service-oriented gatherings and various other outings. We go camping together and had a wine tasting event that was so much fun we’re bound to do it again! Contact Ashley Myers to find out the dates and times we will meet.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for members of our community to engage one another in authentic conversation and relationships…and hopefully to also just have fun!
We are always excited about new faces so please check us out! If you would like to be included in updates, please email Ashley Myers at email@example.com.
Our Caregivers support group has decided to stop meeting monthly. If you have caregiving concerns or needs,

“For in Him we live and move and have our being…” Acts 17.28
We are committed to worship as one multi-generational, multi-cultural body of believers. Our worship style could be described as ‘current,’ and our focus is timeless. We preach a Biblically based Message, fusing traditional liturgy with artistic rhythm.
Our participation in worship services re-centers our lives on Jesus and encourages us to live boldly in faith, making the world around us different, tastier, saltier, than it was.
Current ministry opportunities:
Sanctuary Decorating Team. This is a great opportunity to be involved in setting the tone for worship by providing a creative space where we can gather. This group does great work, and can always use an extra hand and creative mind.
Tech Team. Every worship service there are several people involved in providing a welcoming and professional audio/visual experience. We can use help in two main areas, screen operators and audio assistants.
Ministry Update. Nearly every worship service we provide a 3-5 minute time slot for particular groups of the church to update the community on what God is doing in their ministry area. Please contact us if you would like to feature your ministry.
Testimonies. We want to hear your stories! It is so important that we hear each other’s stories and find ways to connect to one another and to God through stories. If you or a friend would like to share a testimony with our congregation, please let us know.
Readers. From scriptures, to prayers, to responsive readings, to reader’s theater experiences, there are many opportunities for people who are comfortable on the microphone to be involved! Please let us know if you are interested.
Musicians. Are you a singer? Are you an instrumentalist? Do you know someone who is? Let us know! There are a variety of opportunities depending on your experience, talent, and level of interest. Contact the church office at 818.242.8873 and leave a message. You will be contacted.
